Abstract

Weed competition mostly depends upon certain factors, like; type of weed species and its duration. Yield losses from 20.00 to 100.00 per cent as average of 40.00 to 60.00 per cent of potential crop yield are not uncommon. Complete crop loss is possible in poorly managed farms. These are about 2500 plant species in the world out which about 2500 all considered as weeds in agriculture and non-agriculture system.
