Abstract

The present study was carried out on ‘Effect of drip fertigation on yield and productivity of guava (Psidium guajava L.) ’in the Experimental Farm, Department of Horticulture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during 2009–2010 with Split-Split-Plot Design. Different level of drip and fertigation was applied in two cv. L-49 and Allahabad safeda to see the effect on yield of fruit. The yield attributes were significantly influenced by varieties, drip level and fertigation level. The treatment T O^-PF) recorded the best result in terms of yield (41.61 kg/plant), fruits/branch (105.00), fruit weight (216.34g), fruit volume (204.33cc) and fruit length (11.12 cm). Considering the positive effect on growth, yield and quality parameters, T17 (V2D2F1) is considered to be the best, but from economic point of view T19(V2D2F3 is preferable where benefit cost ratio is 4.26.
