The effects of different 12 phyto-extracts were evaluated for fungal growth inhibition of A. alternata in laboratory by poisoned food technique (Nene and Thapliyal, 1993). Bio-efficacy of 12 different phytoextracts was testedby poisoned food technique in vitro to know their inhibitory effect on the mycelial growth and sporulation of A. alternata. The extract of immature fruits of neem showed the maximum inhibition of mycelial growth and sporulation at 15 per cent concentration(87.71%), followed by lantana leaves (86.38%), datura leaves (83.23%) and garlic clove (80.43%). The phyto-extracts can be useful in developing botanical fungicides to manage leaf spot and blight disease of mango.
