Abstract

The investigations were carried out under field condition during kharif 2013 at Agricultural Research Station, Pavagada, Tumkur-District to study the efficacy of newer molecules against castor semilooper on castor. The results revealed that rynaxypyr 20 SC @ 0.01 per cent was most effective (79.53% mortality)in the control of castor semilooper, followed by spinosad 45 SC @ 0.01% (77.03%), chlorofenapyr 10 EC 0.03% (76.55%) and flubendiamide 480 SC 0.01 per cent (76.24%). The next best chemical was emamectin benzoate 5 SG @0.02 per cent (76.04%), indoxacarb 14.5 SC 0.05 per cent (72.97%), followed by Bt formulation @ 0.05% (47.09%) and NSKE 5 per cent (39.08%).
