This study was to produce highly efficient antagonist to control soil born plant pathogen Rhizoctonia solani (Kuhn) in chickpea. Root sanples from different location in natural ecosystem were collected and charaterization for antagonistic efficiency between isolated R. solani were performed. All the tested fungicide, Carbendazim+Mancozeb (75%WP), Carbendazim (50%WP) were proved to be most effective in inhibiting the growth of the fungus and Captan (50% WP), Zineb (75% WP) was proved least effective.
