Abstract

The investigation on seasonal adaptability on productivity of P. florida revealed that the period from November to February was appropriate for obtaining higher yields in the range of 791.33–796.17g/bag with the corresponding biological efficiency of 79% in the coastal belts of Odisha. Mushroom yields were however, less during rainy and summer seasons. Further, wheat bran at 10% of the dry weight of substrate proved superior among the six organic supplements evaluated in terms of yield (883.33g/bag) and biological efficiency (88.33%). Among seven agro-wastes evaluated for their yield performance, the conventionally used green gram stick was significantly superior in terms of yield (880.50 g/bag) and biological efficiency (88%).
