Abstract

Three bio-pesticides (N. rileyi @ 2.0 kg/ha B. bassiana @ 2.0 kg/ha, SNPV @ 450 LE/ha), two chemical insecticides (Rynaxypyr 0.006 per cent, Novaluron 0.01 per cent) and six combinations (N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha + Rynaxypyr 0.003per cent, B.bassiana @ 1.0 kg/ha + Rynaxypyr 0.003 per cent, SNPV @ 225 LE/ha + Rynaxypyr 0.003 per cent, N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha + Novaluron 0.005 per cent, B. bassiana @ 1.0 kg/ha + Novaluron 0.005 per cent, SNPV @ 225 LE/ha + Novaluron 0.00 5per cent) of both were evaluated against S. litura infesting the soybean under laboratory condition during Kharif, 2011. The result showed that rynaxypyr 0.006 per cent gave cent per cent mortality of S. litura within three days under laboratory condition. While novaluron 0.01 per cent, SNPV @ 450 LE/ha, N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha + rynaxypyr 0.003 per cent, SNPV @ 225 LE/ha + rynaxypyr 0.003 per cent, N. rileyi @ 1.0 Kg/ha + novaluron 0.005 per cent and SNPV @ 225 LE/ha + novaluron 0.005 per cent taken six days for cent per cent mortality of the pest. Thus, rynaxypyr 0.006 per cent, novaluron 0.01 per cent and half dose of N. rileyi or SNPV + half dose of rynaxypyr or novaluron were found effective against S. litura under laboratory condition.
