A study was conducted to investigate the rhizosphere soils of Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) to explore the Arbuscular Mycorrizal association in the Noni fields of the horticulture division of UAS, Bengaluru. The soil samples were collected ten spots in three different replications and tested for AM per cent root colonisation and AM spore diversity. The result showed that all the tested plant roots were colonized by AMF and the percent root colonization was highest in S9 with 27.83 per cent and lowest in S5 with 21.21% colonization. Number of the AM spores were highest in S7 and lowest in S4 with 74.66 and 59.33 spores for 50 grams of soil respectively. There was an average of 24.89 per cent of root colonization and 65.70 chlamydospores for 50 grams in rhizosphere soil of Noni. Isolated AMF spores were tentatively identified as Glomus sp. and Acaulospora sp. among them Glomus sp. was more abundent.
