Effect of foliar application of different micronutrients on onion for growth, yield and quality

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to determine the effect of foliar application of different micronutrients in onion for yield and quality. The highest observations are observed in number of leaves per plants (16.17), plant height (72.13cm), leaf area (311.58 cm2), diameter of bulb (6.94), average weight of bulb (50.17gm), yield per plots (9.03kg), yield per ha. (334.38q). in T11: RDF + ZnSo4 (1.0%) + Borax (0.5%) + FeSo4 (1.0%) + MgSo4 (1.0%), quality parameters viz. diameter of bulb, T.S.S. and oleoresin content was also observed superior in same treatment.
