Abstract

Field experiments were conducted in KVK farm, Hadonahalli to examine the effect of different height and traps against whitefly, B. tabaci on tomato. Yellow sticky trap, cylindrical yellow sticky trap and water pan trap, were used as trap for monitoring of whitefly. These traps were placed in different heights on tomato field. Results reveals that Vertical and cylindrical yellow sticky trap above the ground level proved to be effective monitoring devices of whitefly while water pan trap failed to attract adults
