Abstract

The field experiment was conducted to evaluate the Effect of various fungicides and bio-pesticides on smut incidence and yield parameters of sugarcane. Among all the treatments Tilt showed lesser smut incidence (5.71%) followed by Contaf i.e. 8.92% in comparison to check (45.71). Tilt also showed maximum no of tillers (259.74 ‘000/ha), no of milliable cane (224.95 ‘000/ha) and no of clumps (28.86 ‘000/ha) followed by contaf. Vermiwash showed the maximum per cent infection i.e. 28.65% however it enhances the growth parameters of sugarcane. Sett treatments with vermiwash showed the maximum cane height (1.80 m), cane girth (3.05 cm), cane weight (0.74 kg), internodal length (13.27 cm), juice purity per cent (82.91%), CCS per cent (10.07%), cane yield (85.74 t/ha) and CCS yield (8.64 t/ha).
