Screening of different varieties of brinjal against L. orbonalis

Field experiment on "Screening of different varieties of brinjal against L. orbonalis." investigations were carried out to study the relative response of different variety against brinjal shoot and fruit borer during kharif 2012–2013, with ten treatments replicated thrice, Randomised Block Design with gross plot size 3.6 x 7.5 m and net plot size 2.4 x 6 m at the Experimental Farm of Department of Entomology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani (Maharashtra) on well drained typical black cotton soil, with the object to study the performance of ten different varieties of brinjal. The result revealed that there is variation on incidence of infestation of brinjal shoot and fruit borer. Variety Krishna showed less susceptibility to brinjal shoot and fruit borer.
