Screening of different varieties of brinjal against Bemisia tabaci

Field experiment on "Screening of different varieties of brinjal against Bemisia tabaci" investigations were carried out to study the relative response of different variety against Bemisia tabaci during kharif 2012- 2013, with ten treatments replicated thrice, Randomised Block Design with gross plot size 3.6 x 7.5 m and net plot size 2.4 x 6 m at the Experimental Farm of Department of Entomology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani (Maharashtra) on well drained typical black cotton soil, with the object to study the performance of ten different varieties of brinjal against Bemisia tabaci. The result revealed that there is variation on incidence of infestation of Bemisia tabaci. Varieties Pragati, Kalpataruand ABV-1 are resistant and Phule harita, Vaishali and Aruna are highly susceptible to Bemisia tabaci.
