A genomic DNA from recombinant Pichia pastoris clones was isolated and PCR has done to confirm the rabies glycoprotein gene. Zeocin resistant Pichia colonies were screened for the selection of recombinant Pichia for Glycoprotein gene by PCR using Glycoprotein gene specific primers. Genomic DNA was isolated from zeocin resistant colonies transformed by recombinant DNA and vector transformant colonies were extracted separately as described under materials and methods and subjected to PCR amplification with gene specific primers for the presence of the insert. The amplified products were analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis using standard molecular weight markers.
