The study was conducted during January 2012 with the objective of adoption of farm implements and machineries in paddy cultivation in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. Totally 100 respondents were selected for the study. The adoption of the respondents with respect to 22 recommended farming operation machineries, implements and equipments were enquired. Data were collected through pre-tested interview schedule and statistically analysed using percentage analysis, cumulative frequency, correlation and regression. The result of the study was more number of respondents had medium to low level of adoption of paddy farm implements and machineries recommended for paddy cultivation. The results showed that majority of the respondents (58.00%) were found to have medium level, followed by (29.00%) and high (13.00%) levels of adoption of farm implements and machineries.
