Experiments were conducted to study the succession of insect pest on linseed and efficacy of different chemicals against major insect pest of linseed at Deptt.of Entomology, COA, Raipur, (C.G.). First appearance of thrips was recorded in the last week of December with the mean population of 2.60 and 3.39 thrips/plant on Neelum and Kiran varietyrespectively. The bud fly infestation was noticed from first week of January. In general on variety Neelum lowest damage of bud flywere recorded as compare to variety Kiran. Maximum damage of bud fly was noticed in first week of March. Among insecticides Spinosad 48 EC@ 0.0096% showed less bud infestation of 10.49% followed by Abamectine 1.8 EC@0.0009% & Indoxacarb 45 EC @ 0.006% with per cent bud damage of 12.86 and 13.23 percent.
