Abstract

An experiment was carried out to study the effect of three rootstocks (1103 P, SO 4 and Dog Ridge) on shelf life of three varieties (Thompson Seedless, Flame Seedless and Kishmish Chorni) with own roots of grapes as control at room temperature. Results were significant and varieties grafted on Dog Ridge rootstock recorded the least PLW (37.58%), pedicel browning (3.35) andberry drop(9.36) which indicates that it has more shelf life. Among the varieties Thompson Seedless (36.00%) and Kishmish Chorni (38.27%) recorded less PLW, Significantly lowest pedicel browning (3.39) and berry drop (10.33) was recorded with Kishmish Chorni. In interaction, Thompson Seedless on Dog Ridge recorded the least PLW (30.93%), Kishmish Chorni on Dog Ridge recorded lowest pedicel browning (2.94) and berry drop (3.98%).
