Abstract

The present investigation was conducted with 28 Kharif onion genotypes along with a check i.e. Agrifound Dark Red, to identify the suitable as well as best economical Kharif onion genotype for maximum yield with best quality of bulbs under the Chhattisgarh plain condition. Among the genotypes evaluated, CSKO-1119 was produced maximum A grade bulbs, average weight of bulb, marketable bulb yield, total yield, net profit and B: C ratio, followed by CSKO-1177 and ASKO-1119 was also perform for such yield parameters, whereas lowest yield parameter value was obtained with the genotype BSKO-1115 as well as lowest income (both gross and net) with lowest B: C ratio.
