Abstract

Field experiment was conducted on a sand clay loam soil in farmers field at Iyyar thottam, Sundakkamuthur, nearer to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during 2013 to study the variation in tiller production, shoot population, no. of millable canes and yield of sugarcane (Saccharam officinarum L.) as influenced by source of fertilizers and fertilizers levels under subsurface drip fertigation. The experimental results revealed that significantly higher number of tillers, shoot population, number of millable canes and cane yield were recorded in 100% RDF with WSF under SSDF which was on par in 75% RDF with WSF + 25% RDF with NF under SSDF.
