The effect of different fungicides on seed mycoflora, germination and viability rice was evaluated. The seed treatments improved seed germination and reducing seed borne mycoflora of rice seeds. A total of 9 fungal species were isolated from rice seeds collected in Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. Isolated fungi were identified as Fusarium moniliforme, Fusarium semitectum, Fusarium fusarioides, Curvularia lunata, Curvularia pallescens, Ustilaginoidea virens, Aspergillus niger, Trichoderma harzianum and Rhizopous stolonifer were the most dominant pathogen observed on treated and untreated seeds of Rice. Less number of mycoflora associated with the fungicides as compared to control. The seeds treated with fungicide maintained better germination than control 90 days after of storage.
