Abstract

An experiment was carried out to study influence of different level of nitrogen viz. 0, 75, 150, 225 and 300 kg/ha on growth and yield attributes of potato cv. Kufri Surya. Application of nitrogen 300 kg/ha showed the best response of growth attributesviz. plant height (60.60 cm) and number of shoots (4.70) whereas, highest tuber yield (23.40 t/ha) was recorded under the nitrogen level 150 kg/ha. In regards to economics maximum net return of Rs. 158756.04 was recorded with 2.10 B: C ratio in 150 kg N/ha.
