Abstract

A field investigation was conducted during the Rabi season of 2012–13 to study the forage yield of sorghum as influenced by broadcast vs. band application of nitrogen with its different levels (0, 40, 80, 120 160 kg Nha−1). The application of 160 kgN ha−1 which was at par with 120 kg N ha−1 applied through band placement method significantly increased green fodder yield and dry fodder yield compared with broadcasting method of nitrogen application.
