The study was undertaken to find out the various enterprises carried out by Self Help Group tribal women members of the Nilgiris district. The study revealedthat Majority of the tribal women involvedin more than two entrepreneurial activities, which lead to the operation of multiple enterprises. Majority of the respondents were found mostly involved in pastoral activity, fuel wood collection, forest produce collection, embroidery work, shawls making, rearing buffaloes and selling of milk, handicrafts materials and crafts and household industry.
