The pooled analysis of variance for stability revealed that the mean sum of square due to genotypes and environments were considerably significant, indicating the presence of variability among the hybrids and environments for all the characters under studied except boll weight. The G x E interaction was highly significant indicating differential response of hybrids in different environment. Hybrids GSHH2235, GSHH-2603, GTHH-197, G. Cot Hy.-10 and G. Cot. Hy-12 were recorded high mean with regression coefficient (âi) near unity and deviation from regression (S2di) around zero for ginning per cent and boll weight, indicating that these hybrids are have average responsiveness and are highly stable over environments. In context to number of boll GSHH2729 and GTHH-197 recorded high mean with company of regression coefficient (âi) around unity and deviation from regression (S2di) close to zero. It means these two hybrids have average responsiveness and are highly stable over environments.
