The relationship between dose for each of four insecticides (Methyl demeton 25EC, Dimethoate 30EC, Imidacloprid 17.8SL and Acetamiprid 20SP) and mortality of the cotton aphid (A. gossypii Glover) from cotton growing districts of Khandesh region i.e. Dhule, Nandurbar and Jalgaon were determined using a laboratory bioassay. The toxicity of methyl demeton, dimethoate, imidacloprid and acetamiprid were 348.45, 334.84, 133.87 and 63.23 ppm respectively at LC50 for the Dhule district. Also the toxicity of methyl demeton, dimethoate, imidacloprid and acetamiprid were 209.95, 176.20, 102.56 and 49.47 ppm respectively at LC50 for the Nandurbar district. The toxicity of dimethoate, methyl demeton, imidacloprid and acetamiprid were 325.92, 288.67, 133.87 and 58.82 ppm respectively at LC50 for the Jalgoan district.
