Studies on the ‘Seasonal incidence of leaf skipper butterfly, Udaspes folus Cramer on Turmeric, Curcuma longa L. at Raipur (C.G.)’, conducted Agroforestry field, IGKV, Raipur revealed that The leaf skipper butterfly, U. folus observed as a major pest of Turmeric, C.longa. Larval stage is several damage of crops. Activity of U. folus was found during the month of August to December. Maximum population of U. folus was observed during the month of October, recorded as 0.64 larvae per plant and minimum population of 0.03 larvae per plant during the month of December. Similarly findings, Ganguli et al., (2008) observed U. folus Cramer as a major insect pest of turmeric crop in multi-tier agro-forestry system, I.G.K.V., Raipur.
