Abstract

This paper reviews the role of agroforestry systems in improving bamboo for sustainable livelihood. Agroforestry provides a unique opportunity to combine the twin objectives of climate change adaptation and mitigation. It has the ability to enhance the resilience of the system for coping with the adverse impacts of climate change. Agricultural sector as important economic activities in various communities requires coherent planning in order to achieve development and confront with crises. Sustainable agriculture is more efficient in use of resources such as soil, water, and agroforestry and is in balance with the environment conditions.
