One hundred genotypes of mungbean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) were screened against MYMV during two seasons of kharif 2013 and kharif 2014 under natural field condition in Agricultural Research Station, TNAU, Virinjipuram, Tamil Nadu. The germplasm was ranked into resistant and susceptible depending upon the severity of disease. The diversified response of mungbean genotypes to yellow mosaic virus showed that 11 genotypes were found to be resistant, 23 genotypes were found to be moderately resistant reaction and 21 genotypes were moderately susceptible showing infection of mungbean yellow mosaic virus (MYMV). Thirty-Six genotypes were designated as susceptible ones and the remaining nine accessions were highly susceptible for MYMV. The resistant and moderately resistant germplasm lines may be utilized in the breeding programme for developing high yielding varieties with disease resistance against yellow mosaic disease of mungbean.
