The field experiment was conducted at College Agronomy Farm, Anand Agricultural University, Anand to study the effect of spacing and nitrogen levels on seed crop of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) during kharif season of the year 2013 under middle Gujarat conditions. The treatments consisted of different spacing (45×20, 60×20 and 75×20 cm) and nitrogen levels (75, 100, 125 and 150 kg N ha−1). Closer spacing (45×20 cm) had highest net realization (Rs. 107323 ha−1) and maximumbenefit cost ratio (3.84). However, net realization increased with each successive increase in fertility level upto highest nitrogen levels i.e. 150 kg N ha−1 through urea accrued maximum (Rs. 128996 ha−1) withbenefit cost ratio of 5.39. Maximum net realization Rs. 143943 ha−1 with 5.54 benefit cost ratio was recorded under the treatment combination of 45×20 cm spacing alongwith 125 kg N ha−1.
