Study of Extent of Coverage of Aromatic and Medicinal Crop Information and Its Content Analysis in Agrowon Newspaper

Abstract

In Agrowon newspaperamong aromatic and medicinal crops information, the general information topped (70.83 per cent) both in frequencies and space covered followed by annuals (20.83 per cent) in total frequencies and space covered (17.21 per cent). The overall package of practicewise information in terms of frequency, preparatory planting operations topped (37.50 per cent), followed by PHT (22.83 per cent) and other information (16.67 per cent). Regarding space covered in sq. cm. different picture was observed because the higher frequency groups cover less space and vice versa. The frequency oftypesof illustrations, in photograph, general information topped (50.00 per cent) followed by annuals (28.57 per cent). As regard frequency of placement of illustrations, in general information, left upper left side and upper middle side topped (21.43 per cent) followed by left lower left side and lower middle side (7.14 per cent). In colour of illustrations, in general information, multicolour topped (35.71 per cent) followed by black and white (21.43 per cent).
