In today's world of extreme competition where there is a cut throat approach and a plethora of opportunities, the biggest challenge the human resource department faces is to arrest attrition. Attrition can never be a thing of the past; it would always be a part and parcel of an organisation's growth or degrowth. Innovation in ideation on this front can restrict attrition to an extent, but the organisation needs to play a strong role in creating an engaged and happy workforce. Human Resource is the essence of any growing business which acmes the importance of it within the organisation to solve this never ending problem faced due to Attrition. Some of the untold factors perceived may be higher salary, Job security, lack of career planning and advancement, adjustment with the colleagues in a new environment, better growth prospects in terms of career upgradation and personal reasons. Attrition is lined up with an increase in the recruitments and other related costs. The present study focuses upon examining different reasons for attrition in automobile sector of Pune region. Nevertheless companies are thoughtful in advocating this problem by adjusting to answers ending up with amazing HR practices and strategies. The study discloses that employees are leaving their jobs mainly for better pay, job security, higher grade and definitely a good climate and environment along with a desirable boss.
