On the basis of available literature, it is well understood that training is an essential tool to nourish employee skills of any organization including the Biotech industry. In the biotech industry, departments are divided into three categories on the basis of their work profile viz., scientific departments like Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Research and Development; engineering departments like Utility and Maintenance, and other supporting departments like Human Resources, Purchase, Finance and store. Being as a scientific industry, Production and Quality Control departments are two main pillars of Biotech industries because they are directly involved in the main activities of production and its quality testing of biotech products such as vaccines and other therapeutic products and their employees are considered as key employees in any Biotech industry. Therefore, trainings are required to nourish the employee scientific skills of all levels in the industry and they have two types with simple, economic and effective independent training tools to train their employees: in-house and on-job training. Author has already performed various in-house or on-job training programs independently for their employees, who are working in production and quality control departments. In continuation of that, the current study was designed and conducted only with two experimental combined in-house and on-job training exclusively for production and quality control departments with the aim to investigate the effectiveness of the training in scientific knowledge improvement of the departmental employees and the finding was showing improvement and up-gradation in the number of both departmental employees after completion of the training’s post-assessment; 11 numbers (73.33%) in CIH-OJT:01 and 10 numbers (76.92%) in CIH-OJT:02 placed in grade A out of 28 numbers of the employees and the experimental study revealed that the training program can help to improve overall skills related to the techniques.
