A Study on the Concept and Mechanisms of Human Resource Development

Development of human resources (HR) is an important and focused discipline of the present time, as globalisation has a great impact on business and economic activities at both national and international levels. To cope with all situations, some mechanisms are used in organisations. These mechanisms include training, career development, performance appraisal, feedback, counselling, reward and HR information system, etc. The focus of these mechanisms is individual development as well as organisational development. This paper will present the mechanism, approaches, process and benefits of HR development.
