Industrial relation (IR) climate gets increasingly strengthened by effective communication. The power sector reforms is a complex operation that requires ample participation by majority of involved participants and, hence, the need for continuous communication. In the present study, a descriptive and diagnostic approach is adopted to identify the prevailing pattern of communication in Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC) for strengthening IR climate. The study found that a sound communication pattern exists. The conflict resolution and grievance handling mechanism at OHPC is satisfactory.
