Banks have changed in their operations and moved towards universal banking along with the increased usage of technology and technology-based services offering alternate channels such as smart cards, automated teller machines, usage of the Internet, mobile and social banking. This study has been taken to evaluate the customer's attitude towards using Internet banking (IB) services provided by their bank in Pondicherry, union territory in India. A number of 75 samples were selected based on convenient sample method. To analyse the data, chi-square, correlation, weighted average score and U-test were used in this study. The findings of the study shows that most of the customers use IB only for payment of cash to other accounts. Highly educated customers are using IB frequently. Rural areas want awareness programme to know how to use Internet bank facilities.
