There is a consensus to equate poverty with only lack of income and believed that there are only two types of poverty-acute/extreme and relative poverty. The notion of poverty is far more complex and indeed multi-dimensional. It incorporates three key dimensions-health (child mortality nutrition); education (years of schooling, school attendance), living standards (cooking fuel, toilet, water, electricity, floor and assets). This Paper aims to review the notion of multi-dimensional poverty actually is and what does it actually.
