Abstract

Biomass is one of the major free endowments of nature and is considered a primary fuel for cooking, heating, transportation, and power generation. Biomass needs combustion to produce heat to perform various tasks. The use of biomass and the impact of its combustion on human beings are discussed in this article. Apart from this, the importance of solar energy as an alternative, free of cost and non-polluting fuel is discussed against the use of biomass. The study area was Uttar Pradesh.
