As climate risks, geopolitical uncertainty, and environmental challenges intensify, India and Africa are well positioned to advance resilient, inclusive, and implementation-driven partnerships rooted in South-South cooperation.
This article highlights how the convergence of Africa’s Agenda 2063 and India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 can drive collaboration in industrialization, renewable energy, climate resilience, innovation, and skills development. It emphasizes that Africa’s demographic and resource potential, combined with India’s technological and manufacturing capabilities, can support equitable and locally driven development pathways.
The article also underscores the importance of stronger institutional cooperation, climate finance, green value chains, and coordinated Global South engagement in global governance framework and climate negotiations. In this context, platforms such as the World Sustainable Development Summit of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) can help foster dialogue, partnerships, and scalable solutions for inclusive low-carbon development.
