Indian educational system is in the process of undergoing change by steadily introducing and adapting themselves towards the internet revolutions that is evolving and growing at a faster rate in the country. Although, online education is becoming more prevalent in the higher education institutions, its emphasis is slowly gaining importance in the schools too. The present study attempts to study the nature and extent to which the urban secondary school teachers adapt to this electronic revolution. The findings reveal that the secondary school teachers are also adopting Internet technologies, in spite of the limited facilities and access to the Internet. These teachers have largely acquired the Internet skills either on their own or through the support of individuals in their social surroundings. Majority of the teachers accessed the Internet and email at least once a week, and the place of access is mostly the school followed by home. Their purpose to access the Internet is basically academic enrichment and then communication. The study findings recommends teacher training programmes to amalgamate self and group learning activities in order to develop Internet skills among the teachers and schools should enhance their Internet facilities and ensure access to both teachers and students.
