Abstract

English language is an easy means of communication in the international arena of life. It is the language which can be easily understood in different parts of the world. Education is the one and the only instrument which brings any nation to the forefront. It is quite evident that the strength of the country depends on the strength of education, which in turn depends on the strength, efficiency of teachers and the process of teaching. Changes in the educational institutions and the curriculum should help both the teachers and students. The multilingual environment in our country and the fact that no Indian language could spontaneously enjoy the status as common language in the country made the growth and spread of English in India inevitable. ‘Education is a unique instrument in the present and future. Education is the one and the only instrument which brings any nation to the forefront. It is quite evident that the strength of the country depends on the strength of education, which in turn depends on the strength, efficiency of teachers and the process of teaching. The word ‘Technology’ is derived from the Greek words ‘technical’ means ‘art of skill’ and ‘logia’ means science or study. Technology occupies the prominent place in the teaching learning process. The impact of the educational technology is being realized, since it reaches out to the most distant areas and most deprived sections of the beneficiaries simultaneously.
