Educational Achievement of Secondary School Students with Respect to Facilities and Usage of ICT

Abstract

The global technological scenario has paved the way to new pedagogies in teaching-learning process focusing on technology based learning environment and its impact on students’ achievement. The present study is an experimental one and conducted in Cuttack district of Odisha. The investigator has taken 200 secondary school students as sample from the ten schools in which 5 schools are provided with the facilities of ICT and other 5 are not provided with the facilities of ICT by using simple random sampling technique. The two group post test experimental design was used. The collected data were statistically analyzed with the help of t-test. The results showed that technology based learning environment enhanced the achievement level of the students. It was recommended that teaching and learning through information and communication technologies may be adopted to enhance the academic achievement of the students
