Abstract

An evaluative approach-two group pre-test and post-test quasi experimental design was used was used to evaluate the effectiveness of selected stress reduction strategies in reducing the stress among Multi Purpose Health Workers (MPHW's). Assertiveness training and time management were used as stress reduction strategies. Structured questionnaire was used to assess the level of stress. Results revealed that the mean stress level after the stress reduction strategies (50.8) was lower than the mean stress level before administration of stress reduction strategies (65.74) in Multi Purpose Health Workers. The study findings revealed the fact that MPHWs suffering from mild to moderate level of stress and stress reduction strategies can be used to reduce stress among MPHWs.
