Effectiveness of role play on waste disposal among the residents of Pitchaveeranpet village, Puducherry

Waste disposal is the major issues which plays a vital role in spreading of disease and affect people's health in all over the county. Therefore, teaching about waste disposal is compulsory for all the people living in community areas. In this study 50 samples were selected by convenient sampling technique and pre- experimental research design was adopted, the findings showed that pre-test value of control group was 10(20%) respondent were having inadequate knowledge, 28(56%) had moderate and 12(24%) had adequate knowledge on waste disposal in pretest as in post-test 5(10%) had moderate knowledge and 45(90%) had adequate knowledge regarding waste disposal. The result shows that there is significant improvement in knowledge regarding waste disposal through role play method among residents.
