Assess the Prevalence and Determinants of Prehypertension and Hypertension among Young Adults in Urban Primary Health Centre, Sellur at Madurai

Hypertension is one of the most leading cause of death in worldwide. More than 1 billion people worldwide affected with High Blood pressure. The ultimate aim of this study is to assess the prevalence and determinant of prehypertension and hypertension among young adults. Non Experimental Descriptive research design was used in this study. A total 100 samples was selected by using Non Probability Convenience Sampling Technique. The study findings revealed that the most of the young adults 67(67%) were had Normal Blood pressure, 29(29%) were had prehypertension whereas4(4%)were had hypertension.
