Abstract

Flatfoot is a remedial condition, where the foot does not have a normal longitudinal health arch while standing. The study aims at assessing and associating flatfoot levels among college students. The study design adopted was an exploratory survey design that selected 102 students between 18 and 24 years of both genders with a BMI of 25. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data in which section B used the Denis method to test the grade of flat foot. The majority of college students whowere overweight belonged to the Grade 1 category. The current study indicates a clear correlation between flat foot levels and their demographic weight variableand BMI. Hence the study concluded that there was a significant association between demographic variables and flatfoot among college going students.
