The mean pretest level of knowledge score was 6.57 with S.D 5.19. The mean post test level of knowledge score was 21.72 with S.D 2.86. The overall mean improved score for knowledge ‘t ’value of 45.39 which was significant at p=0.001 level. The findings showed that there was a significant improvement of knowledge among general public in the post test after teaching was given by trained community level workers.
