High prevalence of HIV infection is prevalent in state like Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Manipur and Nagaland. The people living with HIV/AIDS were facing lot of discrimination and stigma in the society and inadequate services from the government and non governmental organizations. The study findings implicated that the nursing care professionals should plan the care along with the other healthcare professional including counselors and peer educators.
