Knowledge regarding iron deficiency anemia among pregnant women

The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge regarding iron deficiency anemia among pregnant women in selected areas at Pudukkottai District. A descriptive design was used. Seventy samples were recruited by purposive sampling technique. It was concluded that half of them had inadequate knowledge on iron deficiency anemia and found significant association between knowledge with education and type of family. There is a great need for further health education promotional programs in this regard.
