Abstract

Diabetic foot ulcer is a preventable complication, with proper education on its importance it can be prevented among the diabetic clients. The present study was aimed to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching on knowledge of self care management for prevention of diabetic foot ulcer. Pre experimental one group pre post design was used, 75 clients between the age group of 30–70 years participated in the study. Data collected using structured knowledge questionnaire. Findings showed that there was statistical significant improvement in the knowledge level of the participants after the administration of structured teaching programme.
