Abstract

Effectiveness of structured teaching programme on prevention of common nutritional deficiencies among mothers of school going children at selected rural areas, Coimbatore. Study objectives are to assess the knowledge of mothers of school going children regarding prevention of common nutritional deficiencies, to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme, and to explore the association between knowledge score with selected socio demographic variables. Methodology: Quasi experimental one group pretest and posttest design. 50 samples of mothers of school going children were selected by convenient sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Conclusion The study revealed that there is an improvement in knowledge after delivering structured teaching programme.
